While the DNA HelixTM cable design is ideal for interconnects, it would become too bulky and stiff in the larger sizes required for speaker level connections. For the series 5 speaker cables, the stacked conductor array was restructured into a radical new form to provide the ultimate in sound quality and improved flexibility. The resulting design, which incorporates twelve flat conductors stacked diagonally within a flat outer profile, is called the Diagonal DNATM cable design. Each of the flat conductors is composed of a parallel group of six strands encased in high-density polyethylene. This design minimizes all types of audible distortion to preserve the vivid sonic textures and effortless dynamics that make the sound of live music so enjoyable.

There are six Diagonal DNA speaker cables, which differ only in their conductor materials and wire gauge. The four lower models are simpler versions of the DNA design, which work with the award-winning Insta-WireTM connectors to provide superior sound quality and instant termination without tools.
